F-Gas Regulation – new limitations coming into effect

As off Regulation (EU) 2024/573 of the European Parliament and of the Council of February 7th 2024, on fluorinated greenhouse gases, amending directive (EU) 2019/1937 and repealing regulation (EU) no 517/2014, we remind that starting March 12th, 2025, shall be prohibited the export of stationary refrigeration, among others, as referred to in Annex IV that contain, or whose functioning relies upon, fluorinated greenhouse gases with a GWP of 1 000 or more, including R-404A; R-452A.

With the entry into force of this new restriction, JORDAO will cease to commercialize equipment with R-452A refrigerant.

Earlier this year, on January 1st, 2025, a ban on the maintenance or servicing of refrigeration equipment containing fluorinated greenhouse gases with a GWP of 2,500 or higher came into effect (exception to using recycled gases, which will remain permitted until 2030).
