ECODESIGN & ENERGY LABELLING

As of March 1, new European regulations on Ecodesign and Energy Labelling for commercial refrigeration equipment come into force, aiming to reduce energy consumption, environmental impact and promote innovation.

In the path of storage counters and cabinets energy labelling, implemented in 2016, the new regulations extend the mandatory energy labelling to commercial refrigerating appliances with a direct sales function. Therefore, the classification of energy performance becomes mandatory for display cases, islands, semi-verticals and multi decks, either for assisted service or self-service, with an integrated or external condensing unit.
