Innovation and Sustainability - hand in hand

Promoted by AEP and included in the “Novo Rumo a Norte” Project, the Innovation Workshops aimed to contribute to the development of a culture of permanent innovation, inducing new products, new energy sources and sustainability, among others.

JORDAO's RDI team presented SUNFLOWER, a new outdoor refrigerated display with hybrid, solar or electric power. Totally self-sufficient under direct sunlight, it works at a cost of 0€.

In order to take advantage of the glorious Portuguese sun, JORDAO has developed an innovative system that uses solar energy to “keep it cold”. And when there is no sun? No worries, the exhibitor is equipped with a system that allows its autonomy for up to 12 hours of operation, without the need to connect it to any energy source.

Designed for healthy living outdoors, the SUNFLOWER display can also be used indoors.

The award was given to Joana Lobo, JORDAO's RDI Director, at the Closing Seminar of the “Novo Rumo a Norte – Rumo ao Crescimento” Project, which focuses on the themes of Cooperation and Innovation, essential for the sustainable development of the northern region of Portugal.
