Bolhão Market Oporto

On the inauguration day, between 8am, and 1pm, more than 20,000 people passed through the market in just five hours!

After four years of renovation work, customers and vendors returned to the historic market in an opening marked by a very emotional atmosphere.

The centenary and popular Bolhão market reopened to the city after a global investment of 50 million euros. Designed by the Atelier de Arquitectura Nuno Valentim (Porto), the project combines tradition and modernity with all functionalities of a contemporary market. Which includes, among others, a new logistics basement, a direct connection to the subway and spaces for events and exhibitions.

Jordão is very grateful for the opportunity to participate in this challenging project! It comprises cooling solutions for the exhibition and conservation of meat, cold cuts, cheese, fish, pastry, bakery, dried fruits, fruit and vegetables, wine,... Among the models used, DAISY and E-LINE display cases stand out. As well as the energy-saving NEXT refrigerated counters, the 3 doors HE model recently received the "Energy Efficiency Leader" label from the Topten portal.
